Strength and Sampek were two decoration painting specially made for Hotel Horison, Samarinda, East Kalimantan. “Sampek” is the unique traditional music instrument of the indigenous Dayak of East Kalimantan that is usually played at various celebrations and folk festivities. On the other side,”Strength” painting made with Dayak motifs and jumping hooves which illustrated the achievement and good luck. In mythology and legend, horseshoe symbol signifies happiness, joy and known as a talisman of affluence which brings good fortune. While the jumping-horse’s hooves describe promises that you will easily overcome obstacles.
